Tis the season of panic! Well it is for those who haven’t been getting on with their UCAS. Yesterday at half past ten I clicked the send button! Yes I have sent my UCAS application and am NOT relieved! Now comes the agony of waiting for news, is no news really good news?
NO I BEG TO DIFFER
Writing the personal statement was very difficult, I have to admit I was one of those who was still working on finishing touches on the day of application. A friend of mine who read my first draft failed to be honest and tell me that it sounded like a story and was lacking ‘Happily ever after’ at the end. Over the past three weeks my story has been condensed and enriched, if you like it has undergone a drastic makeover. However it’s been interesting and like most things I try to see what I have taken away from it, I am much better at omitting waffle!
I love waffles esp. with cream and maple syrup.......nothing better
*drooling over keyboard*
But waffle in personal statements is UNWELCOMED! It was hard parting with the sentences that I had put together. You’ve just got to suck it in and take it. I wish I could have said more, I was under the character limit but I was advised to leave spaces between paragraphs just so that it is reader friendly.
*humming to ‘here comes the sun’*
Thats all for now I wish everyone in the U6 good luck and may we all get what we want!
